Designer Emily Tate has been creating for many years. She created custom stationary and decor for her wedding in 2016, then did the same for others’ weddings through her stationary business. Now, with the help of their two children, husband-and-wife team Emily and Jake create custom Catholic gift boxes at Pillar and Pearl.
The desire for an explicitly Catholic business which supports Catholic small businesses is realized as the Tates learn about saints and devotions, pray through the contents of each gift box, and share the joy of their faith through their thoughtful work.

For every curated box, we draw inspiration from the saints, the sacraments, and of course, from Christ and His Holy Mother! We are constantly inspired by the other Catholic companies who contribute their work to our boxes, and we are inspired by the faithful community of Catholics and the ways they want to express their faith. There isn't an aspect to our company that isn’t Catholic!
