Photography, began as a high school hobby and flourished into a passion when Emily assisted a wedding photographer during her college years. She continued working and learning as a second shooter for several years before launching her own business. Her values of faith and the sanctity of marriage influence both why and how she shoots weddings.

For Emily, the entire wedding day is a reflection of the love a bride and groom share. The love they share as a reflection of the love between Christ and the Church is revealed in the care taken to get ready, in the support shared during family portraits, and in each little detail of the reception. The uniqueness of the wedding day, as a whole, is a beautiful sign of the couple’s union--Emily strives to capture and document each of those moments through the lens of her camera, to be cherished for years to come.

From Emily:

As a newlywed myself, I know how easy it is to fall into the trap of wanting the ‘perfect day’ to share on social media and start to lose sight of what really matters…[as a wedding vendor] It's easy to be consumed by a desire to share picture-perfect moments of the most fashionable or quirky wedding to get social media fame and high-profile magazine features, and end up losing sight of the beauty of the marriage you're witnessing because the bride didn't wear makeup or you felt too stressed to get an IG-worthy shot to appreciate the beauty of the mass.  Being part of a community of like-minded vendors means making a conscious effort to elevate Christ through my business, rather than myself.
